Iranian short film to vie at UK fest

Iran’s animated short film ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’ is set to vie at CLEANSE Film Competition in the UK.

The second edition of the competition is themed on all forms and interpretations of the word cleanse.

‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’, directed by Mahdieh-Sadat Ahmadi-Soleimani, is about “a girl who is involved in the problems of her time and in the end she surrenders to the birds, which she has painted”, according to a synopsis for the film.

The film was named among the silver winners of the Best Short – Animation at the 3rd quarter of the 2020 Queen Palm International Film Festival in the US.

The 2nd edition of  CLEANSE Film Competition will take place on September 26, 2020.
