Iranian ‘Ti Ti’ to vie in Japanese fest

The 2020 annual Tokyo International Film Festival is slated to host Iranian movie ‘Ti Ti’.

The film, directed by Ida Panahandeh, will have its international premiere at the 33rd edition of the Japanese festival.

‘Ti Ti’ focuses on a hospitalized elite physicist who reaches out to a Roma janitor woman.

‘Israfil’ and ‘Nahid’ are two of Panahandeh’s award-winning works that grabbed awards and nominations at international film events.

Parsa Pirouzfar, Elnaz Shakerdoust and Houtan Shakiba star in the film.

Established in 1985, the Tokyo International Film Festival is one of the Asia's competitive film events.

Despite having structural changes over coronavirus pandemic this year, the organizers of the festival have decided to launch the physical event.

The 33rd edition of the Tokyo Int’l Film Festival is slated for October 31-November 9, 2020 in Japan.
