Meet ‘Habib’ on ifilm English TV

ifilm’s feature film ‘Habib’ has been scheduled to be aired on October 3, 2020.

The movie, directed by Dariush Yari, is about Habib who is in prison awaiting sentencing for smuggling two tons of heroin.

He's facing either life in prison or the death penalty. He swears that he's innocent, and that a guy named Farhad had tricked him into smuggling the drugs for him.

To make matters worse, his father-in-law has been pressuring Habib's wife to divorce him.

But when she learns that she's pregnant with his child, she decides to stand by his side, praying that Habib will find a way out. And there just might be a way.

Habib learns that there's a clause in the regulations stipulating that a prisoner who memorizes the entire Quran may be granted amnesty.

He puts all his efforts into studying the Quran, but will it be enough to help him avoid the hangman's noose?

The movie’s cast list includes Behnam Tashakkor, Mehdi Faqih, Hamid Farrokhnejad, Hossein Abedini, Heshmat Aramideh, Touran Mehrzad, Omid Rouhani, and Asha Mehrabi.

‘Habib’, made in 2011, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).
