Spain to host Iran-US flick

Iranian US-based movie ‘The Night’ is slated to vie at the Sitges International Film Festival in Spain.

Directed by Kourosh Ahari, the psychological thriller will have its international premiere at the 2020 edition of the event.

‘The Night’ starring popular Iranian Cannes best actor winner Shahb Hosseini is to have four screenings at the Panorama Fantastic section of the Spanish festival.

American company, Premiere Entertainment Group is the international distributor of the flick.

The flick, which marks Ahari’s directorial debut and Hosseini’s debut performance in a US-based production, is about an Iranian couple and their one-year-old daughter on the way home from a social event. They spend the night in a hotel where they are forced to confront secrets.

The flick boasts executive producer of ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, Jeffrey Allard, on the production team.
