‘Cinema Donkey’ awarded at Begur festival

Iranian film ‘Cinema Donkey’ has been awarded at the 6th Begur Comedy Film Festival in Spain.

Iranian media reports said on Tuesday that ‘Cinema Donkey,’ directed by Shahed Ahmadlou, won the Corall d’Or (Golden Coral) for best feature at the Spanish event.

The film is about the challenges facing filmmakers. It tells the story of a film crew who needs a donkey to appear in some of the movie’s scenes.

‘Cinema Donkey’ previously took part in several film festivals, including the Bengaluru International Film Festival in India, and the 2019 edition of Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, where it received a nomination.

The Begur Comedy Film Festival shows features and short films in the comedy genre.

The 6th edition of the festival took place on October 8-12, 2020.
