Iranian ‘Komur’ vying at Spanish fest

The 2020 Asian Film Festival Barcelona (AFFBCN) in Spain is hosting Iranian feature film ‘Komur’.

Directed by Esmaeel Monsef, the flick narrates the story of Gheirat, a modest charcoal producer, who is pushed into a tragic spiral after his son is sentenced to jail.

Hadi Eftekharzadeh, Zhila Shahi, Yousef Yazdani, and Farid Adhami are among the cast members.

‘Komur’ has participated in several festivals, including the 17th Chennai International Film Festival and 2019 Guwahati International Film Festival, both in India.

The current edition of the AFFBCN includes meetings, conferences and seminars. The festival will host works from more than 25 countries.

The 2020 edition of the Barcelona festival is undergoing from October 28 to November 8.
