While many celebrities have been able to fully recover from coronavirus infections, some, sadly, have not been as lucky. ‘Imam Ali (AS)’ star Akbari-Mobarakeh died of COVID-19 complications on October 29 at the age of 67 in a hospital in Tehran.
Mobarakeh, who worked for over 40 years as an actor, is best known to people for his starring role as Ibn Muljam al-Muradi in ‘Imam Ali (AS)’ TV series.
The actor took a massive risk by appearing as the murderer of the first Muslim Imam in the series chronicling the life of Imam Ali (AS) directed by Davoud Mir-Baqeri.
Mobarakeh also appeared in ‘The Mukhtar Narrative’ as Ahmar ibn Shomait. His other works also include ‘Sentenced to Heaven’ (2006), ‘Days of Life’ (2012) and ‘Eastern Melody’ (2013).
