Iran film vying in Spain

Iranian award-winning flick 'Dance with Me' has made its way into the Asian Film Festival Barcelona in Spain.

Soroush Sehhat's latest directorial experience is being screened at the event alongside a total of 18 Iranian films which represent Iran cinema at the latest edition of the festival.

‘Dance with Me’, which was premiered at the 37th Fajr film Festival in Iran, recounts the story of a man’s last birthday.

But they frequently get involved with different struggles from their past and present.

“Jahangir’s friends have gathered together to celebrate his birthday for one last time. The situation prompts them to reflect upon themselves and their lives”, reads a brief synopsis of the film.

Ali Mossafa, Javad Ezzati, Hanieh Tavassoli, Pejman Jamshidi, Siavash Cheraghipour and Mehrab Qasemkhani are among the cast members of the film.

The Asian Film Festival Barcelona is the gateway to Asian cinema in Spain. It aims to bring the high quality narrative art of the Asian continent to the Spanish public, making it a place of gathering and dialogue of multiple cultures.

This year's edition of the event is currently underway and will run through November 8, 2020 in Barcelona.
