Iranian ‘Elders’ to compete in Germany

The 2020 edition of the Exground Film Festival in Germany has been set to screen Iranian short ‘Elders’.

Co-directed by Parisa Sedaee-Azar and Ramin Farzaneh, the 18-minute film is about a 70-year-old man, named Kazem, who plans to run away from a nursing home.

The actors of the short flick are Kazem Hashemzadeh, Malakeh Fathi, and Mahsa Sedaee-Azar.

The short flick has previously won the Diploma of the Audiences Sympathy at the 10th Baku International Short Film Festival in Azerbaijan and the Special Jury Prize at the 3rd International Siirt Short Film Festival in Turkey.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 edition of the Exground Film Festival is scheduled to go hybrid. So the viewers can attend the festival or watch the films from their homes.

The festival aims to provide a space for the audience and cineastes to meet. This year, it will present more than 120 productions.

The 33rd edition of the event will be held on November 13-22, 2020.
