‘That Night’s Train’ to be on screening at Greek fest

‘That Night’s Train’, directed by Iranian filmmaker Hamid-Reza Qotbi, is scheduled to participate in the 2020 Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People in Greece.

‘That Night’s Train’ will make its  fifth international screening in the competition section of the 23rd edition of the event, to be held on November 28 – December 5 in Pyrgos, Amaliada, and several other cities in western Greece.

‘That Night’s Train’ narrates the story of a little girl who meets a female writer when she was on a train. The writer promises to call and visit her later.

The promise, in the writer’s mind, is just a theme for her new story, thus embarking on a merge of fantasy with reality.

Helped by her father and some other people, the girl attempts to overcome her concerns and this leads to amazing adventures.

Siamak Safari, Maryam Boubani, and Bahram Shakeri star in the film.

Included in the list of previous festival appearances of the film are the 2020 Asian Film Festival Barcelona (AFFBCN) in Spain, the 34th Cinekid Festival in the Netherlands and the 25th Schlingel International Film Festival in Germany.

‘That Night’s Train’ was also premiered at the 49th Roshd International Film Festival in Iran in 2019.

As one of the most important festivals for children and adolescents in Europe, the Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People is an attempt to encourage the film creation and the development of films for children and youth.
