Australian fest screening Iranian short

Iranian short flick ‘Better than Neil Armstrong’ has been on screen at the 4th edition of the North Bellarine Film Festival (NBFF) in Australia.

Written and directed by the award-winning Iranian director Alireza Qasemi, the short flick is among the selected Iranian works being screened at the Focus on Iran Short Film Session of the Australian event.

‘Better than Neil Armstrong’ tells the story of four kids who are planning to travel to the moon on their own spaceship.

The 20-minute flick has already participated in a number of global events, including the Lakeshorts International Short Film Festival in Canada, the Izmir International Short Film Festival in Turkey, and the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival in the US.

The Best Cinematography and the Best Movie Soundtrack awards from the 15th Nahal Student Short Film Festival in Iran and the Best Live Action Director’s award from the Pune International Film Festival in India are some of the awards ‘Better than Neil Armstrong’ has grabbed so far.

Noushika Khodashenas, Kian Alipanah, Ilia Hassani, Asal Shakeri, and Golnoush Qahramani are the cast members of the short film.

The NBFF accepts films of any genre. This year’s edition of the event kicked off on November 13 and will wrap up on November 15.
