Having its fourth international screening, the film, co-directed by Ahmad Otraghchi and Alireza Tabrizi, will represent Iran at the fourth edition of the Indian event.

Themed on violence against women, the film is the story of three middle-aged women from various social classes who inadvertently affect each other's lives on the longest night of the year.

Ladan Mostofi, Mahdi Ahmadi, Sheida Khaligh, Rabe'e Madani, Rima Raminfar, Hamidreza Azarang, Shaghayegh Farahani and Mohamadreza Ghaffari star in the film.

The LIFFT India Filmotsav is a green event preserving the nature by keeping everything digital and avoiding paper use.

At the same time, the fest aims to “spread awareness about the menace of Dengue and Malaria along with other airborne disease that result from poor waste management and lack of basic cleanliness in parts of Lonavla that needs immediate attention”, according to the official website of the fest.

This year’s edition of the event is slated for December 25.
