Mohammad Hormozi’s 15-minute short fiction was awarded with the best narrative short title at the 12th edition of the American event, held on November 5-14 in Northwest Arkansas.
‘Inner Self’ follows the story of a female violinist who wants to enter an office but as she is not attired appropriately for the place, she must stay in the waiting room. While waiting, she is inspired by the things that happen around her there.
Niloufar Mohebbi, Mehrbanou Batebbi and Maryam Jamalipour are the cast members of the short.
‘Inner Self’ has so far competed in a number of international film events, including the Grand Off film festival in Poland, the 30th Mediawave Int’l Film Festival in Hungary and the Dhaka Int’l Film Festival in Bangladesh.
Two of the latest festival participations of the flick include the 21st Ojai Film Festival in the US and the 18th International Short Film Fesitval – Film Front in Serbia
The film is also the winner of a special mention at the 16th Akbank Short Film Festival in Turkey.
