‘Just 6.5’ (6.5 per Meter) by Saeed Roustaee received the Golden Earring Statue for Best Feature Narrative in the World Cinema competition.
A certificate of appreciation for its different view of women was presented to ‘Goodbye Shirazi Girl’ by Afshin Hashemi.
Starring in Behrouz Shoeibi’s ‘Axing’, Sara Bahrami shared the award for best actress in the same category with Ruby Ruiz for ‘Iska’ from the Philippines.
The Bronze Earring Statue for Best Short Narrative went to ‘The Visit’ by Azadeh Mousavi.
‘Tangle’ by Maliheh Gholamzadeh won the Bronze Earring Statue for Best Animation.
The award for best feature documentary was presented to ‘Khatemeh’ co-directed by Hadi and Mehdi Zarei.
Iranian-Afghan movie ‘Hava, Maryam, Ayesha’ by Sahra Karimi won the Golden Earring Statue for Best Feature Narrative in the Women’s Cinema.
The closing ceremony of the HIWFF started on Thursday evening at Darul Aman Palace in Kabul.
The ceremony was held in presence of Afghan Minister of Information and Culture Tahir Zahir and Iranian filmmaker Narges Abyar, a jury member for the International Narrative Feature Films Competition.
The 6th HIWFF, held on November 16-19, screened a lineup of 73 films from different countries.
