The weeklong film program, under the name ‘Spotlight on Italian Cinema’, will show a total of seven Italian movies at hashure.com. The films will be accessible to all enthusiasts free of charge.
The lineup includes ‘L’Equilibrio’ by Vincenzo Marra, ‘Martin Eden’ by P. Marcello, ‘Mia Madre’ by N. Moretti, ‘Lazzaro Felice’ by A. Rohrwacher, ‘Dove cadono le Ombre’ by V. Pedicini, and ‘L’intrepido’ by G. Amelio.
Bernardo Bertolucci’s historical documentary ‘La via del petrolio’, which was shot in Iran between 1965 and 1966, will be also screened at the program.
Italian Film Week was initially scheduled for February in Tehran. Despite being inaugurated at the Iranian Artists Forum on February 20, it was canceled after three days due to the spread of the coronavirus. The event was then postponed to a later time in an attempt to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
Italian filmmaker Vincenzo Marra and producer Sergio Toffetti were also scheduled to hold review sessions and filmmaking workshops on the sidelines of the event.
