Iranian critic named Jaipur fest juror

The Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) in India has named Iranian film critic Hamed Soleimanzadeh to serve on the jury of its 13th edition.

Soleimanzadeh, who is a university professor and an official member of International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), will serve on the jury of the Indian event’s main competition section, Iranian media outlets reported on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old critic has been chosen to serve as a juror for several international festivals, including the Dytiatko International Children’s Television Festival in Ukraine, the River International film Festival in Italy, and the Zero Plus International Film Festival in Russia.

The 13th edition of the JIFF will take place on January 15-19, 2021.
