Iran’s ‘A Trivial Thing’ to vie in India

Iranian short flick ‘A Trivial Thing’ has been selected to compete at the second edition of the Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival (AICFF) in India.

Directed by Seyyed-Morteza Sabz-Qaba, the short film narrates the story of a young man who wishes to become an actor and play on theater stages.

Also written by Sabz-Qaba, the short film’s cast list includes Majid Ardalan and Ali Qasemi.

The 12-minute flick has already participated in a number of global film events, including the Kanyakumari International Film Festival in India, the Merida Film Festival in Mexico, the Lift-Off International Film Festival in the UK, the Venice International Film Festival in Italy, and the Alter do Chao Film Festival in Brazil.

The AICFF aims to screen films made for children and students. It also provides a platform for school children to showcase their works and compete with each other.

The upcoming edition of the festival will be held online due to the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2020 edition of the event will be held on December 18-19.
