Serbian filmfest hosting Iran’s ‘Echo’

Iranian short animation ‘Echo’ has been screening at the 2020 edition of the Green Montenegro International Film Fest (GMIFF) in Serbia.

Barzan Rostami’s short film is currently on screen as one of the competition titles at the 6th edition of the Serbian event.

The 7-minute film is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse, as well as its consequences on human race.

‘Echo’ has already been shown at a number of global events, including the Smaragdni Eco film festival in Croatia, the R.E.D International Film Festival in Norway, the Snake Alley Festival of Film in the US, and the International Tour Film Festival in Italy.

The flick’s screening at the Southern Cone International Film Festival in Mexico brought it the Best Short Film award.

It also grabbed a Special Jury Prize at Polish Wlodzimiers Puchalski International Nature filmfest.

And, the Pink City International Short filmfest in India bestowed its Best Sound Designing award upon the film’s sound engineer, Hossein Ghourchian.

The GMIFF is a concept film festival covering a topic of environment protection.

This year’s edition of the event kicked off on December 18 and will wrap up on December 20.
