Eskandari explains Kiarostami’s film

Iranian actress Setareh Eskandari has performed the audio description of internationally acclaimed filmmaker the late Abbas Kiarostami’s ‘Where Is the Friend's Home?’ for blind and visually impaired audiences.

Audio description is a form of narration that plays during pauses in a film's dialogue, translating visual imageries and actions on the screen into spoken words.

Sevina Radio will broadcast the audio-described edition of ‘Where is the Friend's Home?’ on Thursday evening.

It will be available later on the website of Sevina Group (Cinema for Visually Impaired).

The 46-year-old Eskandari began her acting career in the mid-1990s.

She gained fame by playing a role in the 2006 TV series ‘Narges’.

Eskandari has starred in various TV series and films which were aired by ifilm English TV channel, including ‘The Gradual Death of a Dream’, ‘Passion to Fly’, and ‘The Visitor to Rey’.
