French female author Claire Jobert intends to write a story for children themed on martyr Qassem Soleimani.
The author who mostly writes stories for the younger audience and illustrates children’s books has been living in Iran for a long time after being converted to Islam.
The French Muslim woman said in a media interview that she wishes to write a story for children about martyr Soleimani who was assassinated by the US in Iraq last year.
“Immediately after General Soleimani’s martyrdom, I thought of writing a story, especially because of the large number of children who might be involved in the issue via the media. I worked on this for a while,” she said, adding that it is a “different and sensitive task” as children should not get anxious while reading her story on martyr Soleimani.
She noted, “I still haven't come to a conclusion, and although I made some drafts, I still couldn't form them into a decent story.”
“If one day I manage to write such a story for Iranian children, I might later think of adapting it for the French audience” she concludes.
Claire Jobert is one of the best authors in Iranian children’s literature and a renowned children's book illustrator. Below are some of her illustrations.
