An online photo shows Iranian actress Setareh Pesyani has gone unrecognizable in her upcoming movie due to her heavy film makeup.
A photo showing the transformation Pesyani underwent for her role in the movie ‘Yedo’ was unveiled on Tuesday.
Makeup plays an important role in convincing the audience that the character which is played is real, and it even enhances the performance of the actors and enables them to deliver the character in the best way possible.
The unveiling of the photo comes as ‘Yedo’ has applied for the 2021 edition of Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.
‘Yedo’ is made by Mehdi Jafari, the director of the war drama ’23 People’ (The 23), which was named the film of the year by the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO in March 2019. It was picked from among the movies that participated at the 37th edition of Fajr Film Festival.
‘Yedo’ is also a war flick and revolves around children in wartime.
The movie depicts the first months of the 1980-88 Iraqi imposed war on Iran, and the siege of Abadan City.
Iraq invaded Iran on September 22, 1980. The war, which began 19 months after the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, lasted almost eight years and ended on August 20, 1988.
