Iran fest receives 1K foreign cartoons

Some 1,000 cartoons from 50 different countries across the world have been submitted to the sixth edition of the International Festival of the Art of Resistance in Iran.

Sayyed-Masoud Shojaee-Tabatabaee, the secretary of the Cartoon and Caricature section of the festival, noted that the quality of the submitted works is “very good”.

He said the received works are under the themes of “America’s decline” and “We will defeat the coronavirus”, adding that they are currently being judged.

The sixth edition of International Festival of the Art of Resistance will be held in Tehran in the Persian calendar month of Bahman (January 20-February 18, 2021).

Organized by the visual arts department of Revayat-e-Fath cultural institution, the festival comprises eight sections, including Painting, Sculpture, Cartoon & Caricature, Photography, Illustration, Graphic Design, Flag Inscription, and Typography.
