Persian leopard captured through Iran lens

Park ranger has captured Persian leopard in Dena National Park in Iranian province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.

The protected wildlife park is home to diverse vegetation and animal species such as brown bears, different types of eagles, leopards and wolves. The Persian leopard is listed as endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.

In 2019, camera traps succeeded in taking photos of 10 Persian leopards inhabiting in Dena National Park.
