Mohammad-Mehdi Tabatabaeenejad, the secretary of the 39th FFF, on Tuesday announced the names of the films to take part in the festival’s main competition section, Sodaye-Simorgh.
A lineup of 16 feature films has been selected from 57 movies which applied for the festival.
Here is a list of the feature films which will vie at the Sodaye-Simorgh section:
1- ‘Ablaq’ (piebald) directed by Narges Abyar
2- ‘Bihamechiz’ (without anything) directed by Mohsen Qaraee
3- ‘The Sniper’ by Ali Ghaffari
4- ‘Ti Ti’ by Aida Panahandeh
5- ‘180° Rule’ by Farnoush Samadi
6- ‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’ by Kaveh Sabbaghzadeh
7- ‘Once Upon a Time, Abadan’ by Hamid-Reza Azarang
8- ‘Bright’ by Rouhollah Hejazi
9- ‘Zalava’ by Arsalan Amiri
10- ‘Setareh Bazi’ (star game) by Hatef Alimardani
11- ‘Shashlik’ (Shish Kebab) by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian
12- ‘Gijgah’ (temple) by Adel Tabrizi
13- ‘Mom’ by Arash Anisi
14- ‘Expediency’ (Maslahat) by Hossein Darabi
15- ‘Mansour’ by Siavash Sarmadi
16- ‘Yadu’ by Mehdi Jafari.
The 39th FFF will take place from January 31 to February 10, 2021.
The Fajr Film Festival coincides with the ten-day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
