Mohammad-Mehdi Tabatabaeenejad, the secretary of the 39th FFF, announced the names of the films to take part in the festival’s short film section.
A lineup of six short works (three to 15 minutes) has been selected from 38 titles which applied for the festival.
Here is a list of the selection to vie at the short film section:
1- ‘Cover’, directed by Ehsan Majouni and produced by Sepideh Norouzi
2- ‘Witness’, directed by Ali Asgari and produced by François Maurice, Laura Gomel, Khorshid Alemi
3- ‘Meatophile’, directed and produced by Farid Haji
4- ‘Mask’, directed and produced by Nava Rezvani
5- ‘Nahid’, directed by Samad Alizadeh and produced by Reza Nosrati-Habibi
6- ‘Urgent Situation’, directed by Maryam Esmikhani and produced by Vahid Hassanzadeh
The 39th FFF will take place from January 31 to February 10, 2021.
The Fajr Film Festival coincides with the ten-day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
