The 2021 edition of the Fajr Film Festival (FFF) in Iran has unveiled the lineup for its documentary section.
Mohammad-Mehdi Tabatabaeenejad, the secretary of the 39th FFF, announced the names of the films to take part in the festival’s documentary section.
A lineup of five documentary works (longer than 70 minutes) has been selected from 31 titles which applied for the festival.
Here is a list of the selection to vie at the documentary section:
1- ‘Isatis’, directed by Alireza Dehqan and produced by Rahil Sahraee, Alireza Dehqan
2- ‘The Silhouettes’, directed by Afsaneh Salari and produced by Jewel Maranan, Afsaneh Salari
3- ‘Tattooed Dreams’ (Royahaye Khalkoubi Shodeh), directed by Mehdi Ganji and produced by Behzad Tavakkoli
4- ‘Coup 53’, directed and produced by Taqi Amirani
5- ‘18000 Feet’, directed and Mehdi Shah-Mohammadi
The 39th FFF will take place from January 31 to February 10, 2021.
The Fajr Film Festival coincides with the ten-day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
