First day of 39th Fajr filmfest in photo

The first day of the 39th Fajr Film Festival (FFF) has been held with screening two movies.

‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’ directed by Kaveh Sabbaghzadeh and ‘Bihamechiz’ (without anything) directed by Mohsen Qaraee went on the screen on the first day of the event on Sunday.

Considering the health protocols of the coronavirus era, a number of the cast and crew members of the movies, including Parviz Parastouee, Baran Kosari, Elnaz Habibi, and Sara Bahrami took part in the press conferences.

The festival coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran every year.

The 39th edition of the FFF kicked off on January 31 and will continue until February 10, 2021.
