Bangladesh to host Iranian animation

Iranian animation ‘Autumn Winds, Spring Winds and Two Doves’ has been selected to compete at the 14th edition of the International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh.

Directed by Sadeq Javadi, the 8-minute animation is an adaptation of a book with the same name written by Ahmadreza Ahmadi.

The animation has previously participated in several festivals in Canada, Tehran, and Europe some of which are the 63rd International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film in Germany and the 49th Montreal Festival du nouveau cinema in Canada.

Two other Iranian works ‘The Eleventh Step’ and ‘The Ocean Behind the Window’ are also scheduled to vie at the International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh.

The International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh is an annual week-long film festival held countrywide, which showcases full-length features, shorts, experimental films made for and by children from around the world.

Launched in 2008, the festival is one of the biggest film events in Bangladesh and also the only international film festival for children and young adults of the country.

The 2021 edition of the event is slated for January 30-February 5.
