During the closing ceremony of the 10th edition of the Indian fest on January 30, the best short film award went to Peyman Shah-Mohammadi, the producer of the short flick.
Besides, Alireza Teimouri received the best director award at the IKSFF.
Shah-Mohammadi said his film had won nominations at four categories of the IKSFF, including the best film, the best director, the best cinematography, and the best acting.
‘Mostafa’ is a drama narrating the upsetting story of an immigrant family. It tries to show how seeking refuge in another land is sometimes not a choice, but a compulsion.
Fariba Talebi, Masoumeh Jabbarnia, Majid Malekpour, Zeinab Hashemi, and Hassan Heidari are some of the cast members of the flick.
The film has already taken part in various international film events, including the Goteborg International Film Festival in Sweden, the Cannes Film Festival in France, and the Gandhara Independent Film Festival in Pakistan.
The IKSFF is an annual film festival held in Kolkata, India. Founded in 1995, it is the third-oldest international film festival in India.
The 10th edition of the event was held on January 18-24, 2021.
