‘The Lady’ heads to Russian fest

Iranian documentary film ‘The Lady’ has found a place at the 2021 International Documentary Film Festival dubbed as Interdoc in Russia.

Mohammad Habibi Mansour’s ‘The Lady’narrates the ups and downs of the life of a lady named ‘Esmat Ahmadian’, the mother of the martyrs Ibrahim and Ismail Farjavani.

After the Iran-Iraq war, Esmat Ahmadian tried her hand at social and economic activities; and today, she is one of the influential and exemplary women in Ahvaz, Khuzestan prince.

‘The Lady’, which has been honored at the 2020 Veracruz World Film Festival in Mexico, is the result of two years of filmmaking with the mother of Farjavani martyrs and depicts a real picture of the life of a successful woman.

Veteran Iranian actress Sorayya Ghasemi has narrated the documentary.

The film was also screened at the 38th edition of Fajr Film Festival and Ammar Popular Film Festival.

International Documentary Film Festival «Interdoc» will be held from April 30 to May 2, 2020 in Moscow and more than 50 cities of Russia and the World.

The festival will also feature various themes and genres of documentary films.
