Iranian Kurmanj nomads’ life in pictures

Some of Iran’s nomadic tribes are still keeping their traditional lifestyle and tourists can travel with them and experience their lives.

These people, who spend their lifetime travelling in summer and winter, have an amazing life. They are warm and welcoming people and are well-known for their hospitability.

Nomads use their herds of cattle to make a living and are almost self-sufficient in meeting their needs.

Every year late fall, Iran’s Kurmanj nomads travel to Turkmen Sahra that is a region in the northeast of Iran near the Caspian Sea.
