Carpet Museum of Iran in photos

The Carpet Museum of Iran has put a collection of the most valuable Iranian carpets on display.

It is considered as a rich research resource for researchers and art enthusiasts.

The Carpet Museum of Iran is located in Tehran, occupying a site of about 12,000 square meters.

The museum’s exhibited items include carpets from the 15th century to the present day.

The museum was inaugurated in 1978.

It was designed by an Austrian designer under the supervision of Abdol-Aziz Farmanfarmaeean, a famous Iranian architect.

The design of the building’s exterior was inspired by the tribal black tents and carpet looms.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the museum is not open to the public.
