‘Braceball’ to vie at American fest

Iranian short film ‘Braceball’ is slated to vie at the Media Film Festival (MMF) in the US.

Reihaneh Mortezaeenia’s latest directorial experience will represent Iran alongside nine other Iranian short films at the 2021 edition of the festival.

The 14th edition of the event will be launched virtually due to coronavirus outbreak.

The short film narrates the story of a disabled child who loves to play football.

Despite the fact that the boy is disabled, he tries his best to make his dream come true.

A production of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, ‘Braceball’ has so far participated in many international film festivals.

According to the official website of the MFF, this year’s edition of the fest will be showcasing both its 2020 and 2021 officially selected works. The total number of the films will be 90 which will come from around the world.

The event is slated for April 9-18 at Arasapha Farms in the US.
