NAFCo Winter Film Festival lauds ‘Dance of Love’

Iranian short documentary ‘Dance of Love’ has succeeded to win two main awards of the 5th NAFCo Winter Film Festival in the United States.

Directed and produced by Mohammad Farajzadeh, the documentary received the Best Documentary and Best Film awards at the 2021 NAFCo.

‘Dance of Love’ is a story about the sacrifice, love, artistic creativity, and patience of Seddigh Ghaffari, a cultural veteran of Saqqez city in Kurdistan province, western Iran, who has decorated his backyard with paintings and art. The artist does this only for his wife, who has been paralyzed for almost 15 years now.

The crew of the documentary are director assistant Fardin Mosftaee, editor Mohammad Farajzadeh, music composer Behnam Ardalan and translator Abed Hosseini.

‘Dance of Love’ previously competed at the 4th edition of the International Ethnovideographyc Festival in Spain.

The NAFCo held a winter film festival as an internet streaming event on February 26-28, 2021.
