A cultural program under the title ‘Iran Day’ has been held in the Syrian capital city of Damascus.
The cultural gathering was organized by the Iranian embassy in Syria to highlight the cultural ties between the two countries.
“We are the children of one nation that has a common history dating along way creating an important part of the human civilization”, the Iranian ambassador in Syria said during the ceremony.
The ambassador asked Syrian artists and poets to create artistic and cultural productions revolving around what happened in the few recent years.
Closing his statement, the ambassador of Iran in Syria focused on the similarities between the two Iranian and Arabic cultures emphasizing that these two cultures are inseparable.
The cultural program witnessed the inauguration of Iran Cultural and Artistic Exhibition featuring Iranian poetry, handicrafts, arts, calligraphy and tourism.
The Iran Day cultural program was attended by a number of important Syrian cultural and artistic figures.
