The Iranian play ‘The Comedy of Olfaction’ will go on stage once again at the institute of Contemporary Action in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Written by Omid Taheri and directed by theater actor and director Meysam Abdi, ‘The Comedy of Olfaction’ will run at the institute of Contemporary Action (Paytakht Theater in Persian) from December 31.
The play is about a mayor who is going to deliver a speech for the residents, but disappears strangely and no one seems to know anything about him.
Abdi has selected Vahid Aqapour, Sina Razani, Alireza Mehran, Farzin Mohades, Nazanin Karimi, Manouchehr Ramezani and Nasser Sarlak to act in the latest run of the performance. The writer, Taheri, will also take a role.
The play was earlier staged at Tehran City Theater in April and May with a different cast list. The Niavaran Cultural Center also hosted the play in January 2014.
‘The Comedy of Olfaction’ will run for a month at the theater, which is located at No. 542 on Taleqani Avenue, near Felestin Square.
