Iranian photographer honored in Russia

An Iranian photographer has been honored at the 35AWARDS, an international photography contest in Russia.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported on Thursday that Hassan Jouri received a “certificate of honor” at the Russian competition for a photo dubbed “The City of Colorful Nights”.

In addition to “The City of Colorful Nights”, Jouri had two other photos in the contest’s category of “Light Painting 2020”.

The photo depicts the Clock Tower of Rasht Municipality Square in Iran’s northern province of Gilan and the decorations of Eid al-Mab'ath.

According to the report, some 3,391 photographers with 6,517 photos took part in the “Light Painting” section.

Launched in 2015, the 35AWARDS aims to define “the best 100 works of the year in various categories”, among others, the event’s website reads.
