Turquoise inlaying or Firouzehkoubi is one of the most popular Iranian arts crafted by the country’s artisans.
The inlaying of small pieces of Turquoise gemstone veneers tools and utensils made of copper, silver, brass and bronze. The base objects can be jewelry items such as earrings and bracelets, which are heated and then varnished.
The remaining gaps between pieces of turquoise are filled with blue mortar before the product is polished for a shiny and smooth surface.
