The book titled ‘Abbas Kiarostami: l’oeuuvre ouverte’ (Abbas Kiarostami: the Open Work in English) was originally released on April 1 by Gallimard publishing company.
French journalist and critic Jean-Michel Frodon and author and scholar Agnes Devictor have been the authors of the 280-page book.
According to Amazon, the platform on which ‘Abbas Kiarostami: l’oeuuvre ouverte’ is available for purchase, the back cover of the book has detailed that it is about the Iranian filmmaker who breaks the borders and becomes an international figure right from the beginning with his film ‘Taste of Cherry’. Not only he was a film director and the winner of Palme d’Or, he also recognized himself as a photographer, installation artist and poet.
The book goes over the fact that Kiarostami cared for childhood and nature. He was an artist who was fully aware of the issues of his time.
