ifilm to set ‘Lighter than Darkness’ up

ifilm’s series, ‘Lighter than Darkness’, has been scheduled to go on air from April, 2021.

The series, produced by Hassan Beshkufeh and written and directed by Hassan Fathi, tells the story of Sadr Edin Mohammad Shirazi, known as Molla Sadra.

He was an Iranian philosopher and theologian during the reign of Shah Abbas the First of the Saffavid Dynasty.

Molla Sadra is considered to be the most influential Muslim philosopher in the past four centuries.

Even though he was persecuted for his new philosophical insight, he never gave up on his passion to search for the truth.

Today, he is honored across the Muslim world and referred to as the “Master of the Theosists”.

The series cast list includes Fakhri Khorvash, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Farrokh Nemati, Ali Nasiriyan, Enayat Bakhshi, Mahmoud Azizi, the late Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Farimah Farjami, Hossein Yari, Bahareh Rahnama, Katayoun Riahi, Fakhreddin Seddiq-Sharif, Rozita Ghaffari, Zhaleh Olov, Ali Soleimani-Saransari, Hessam Navvab-Safavi, and the late Jamshid Mashayekhi.

‘Lighter than Darkness’ made in 2003, is scheduled to replace the series ‘After the Rain’, to be aired daily at 19:00 GMT.

ifilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the drama the next day at 03:00, 08:00, 14:00 (all GMT times). The series is comprised of 35 episodes.
