Susa lies in Iran’s southwestern province of Khuzestan. It was founded around 4000 BC.

Susa is one of the most significant historical and glorious cities in Iran and across the world, and it is still witnessing archeological activities.

The city, along with the Tomb of Daniel and nearby mounds, has been inscribed on Iran’s national heritage list.

In 2015, it was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
