Wednesday marks 1st day of Ramadan in Iran

This year’s holy month of Ramadan is to begin on Wednesday.

According to the office of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the holy month of fasting will begin on Wednesday.

As the crescent moon was not sighted on Monday evening by the Muslim Scholars in Iran, the official first day of the holy month is not this Tuesday.
