Italian prominent makeup artist of Iranian film 'Muhammad: The Messenger of God' passes away.
Giannetto De Rossi died on Sunday at the age of 79.
Majid Majidi’s 'Muhammad: The Messenger of God' was one of the movies he worked on.
‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God' portrays the life of Islam’s Holy Prophet [PBUH] and narrates his early years in Mecca. This is the first part of a trilogy which seems to cover the entire life of the Prophet [PBUH].
A number of internationally-acclaimed professionals, including Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor and filmmaker, Scott E. Anderson, and three-time Oscar-winning Italian director of photography, Vittorio Storaro, collaborated in the making of the 2015 film.
The movie attracted a large number of audiences during its screening in Iranian cinemas and abroad, including in Russia, Turkey, Iraq and Azerbaijan.
The screenplay of the film, which is the biggest-budget production in Iranian cinema, was co-written by Majidi and Kambozia Partovi.
