Parsa Pirouzfar makes classical film accessible for the blind

Popular Iranian star Parsa Pirouzfar has narrated the classical American movie ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest’ for the visually impaired audience.

The blockbuster by Miloš Forman has been made ready with Pirouzfar’s voice by the CEVINA Group.

Based on the 1962 novel with the same name by Ken Kesey, the film stars Jack Nicholson as Randle McMurphy.

‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest’ narrates the story of a prisoner who fakes insanity in order to escape prison and is shifted to the special ward for the mentally unstable. In this ward, he must rise up against a cruel nurse, Ratched.

The film will be available on Radio CEVINA on Thursday. It will be on the group’s official website.

Every week, the CEVINA group publishes the audio files of two nostalgic classic movies for people with visual impairment.

The group has already published ‘Casablanca’ read by Sahar Dolatshahi, ‘Bicycle Thieves’ read by Mohsen Bahrami, Ali Hatami’s ‘Mother’ narrated by Ehteram Boroumand and ‘Gone with the Wind’ read by Shabnam Moqadami.

Parsa Pirouzfar made his cinematic debut in 1994 with the movie ‘Pari’ directed by Dariush Mehrjoui.

 ‘In My Heart’ (1998), ‘The Green Journey’ (2001-2002) and ‘In the Eye of the Storm’ (2003-2009) are among series in which he has played.

Pirouzfar’s performance in ‘Mom's Guests’ (2003) won him a Crystal Simorgh for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role from Fajr International Film Festival.
