A vast area of the lands and farms in the Iranian province of North Khorasan has been planted with rapeseed.

Now that spring is embracing the world, the rapeseed farms are in full bloom making the lands like an enormous yellow velvet.

The flower usually blooms in summer and is planted for its oil known as canola oil. The oil is used for cooking and baking and has many benefits, including being a good source of antioxidant Vitamin E.

Here are some photos of the amazing rapeseed landscapes in Bojnourd, the capital city of North Khorasan Province.
