The 30th edition of Isfahan’s International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults has unveiled its official poster.
The president of the festival, several cultural government officials, a number of famous Iranian cinema celebrities and a group of martyrs’ families attended the unveiling ceremony on May 30.
According to the information center of the festival the president of the festival Alireza Rezadad, Isfahan’s Mayor Mehdi Jamalinejad, the vice-president for the art and culture department of Isfahan city hall Ali Qasemzadeh, the head of the controlling department of the cinema organization Habib Ilbeigi, as well as celebrities such as Marzieh Boroumand, Hengameh Qaziani, Kourosh Tahami, Fereshteh Taerpour, Ferial Behzad, Setareh Eskandari, Marzieh Mahboub and Hooman Bargh-Navard were present at the unveiling ceremony.
Rezadad said at the ceremony “There is an independent competitive section for animated movies for the first time in this edition. We also separated movies for kids from movies for young adults.”
“The selection committees are about to finish selecting movies. Foreign movies are now selected and more than half of the foreign guests have been invited,” he added.
Marzieh Boroumand, Iranian director and scriptwriter, said “It is not a surprise as I’m getting 66 in couple of days! I’m glad that the festival has now started officially.”
“No matter who’s organizing the festival, we should concentrate on improving our cultural status. ... I hope there will be a great festival.”
Poster of the 30th edition, designed by Marzieh Sarmashqi, was unveiled at the end of the ceremony.
The festival is slated to be held from June 30 to July 6 in the historical Iranian city of Isfahan.
