Every year, a number of series are specifically made to be aired during the holy month of Ramadan to entertain worshippers after they break their fast with the evening Iftar meal.
Hamidi has taken part in Ramadan series such as ‘A Guest from Heaven’ by Abdollah Bakideh.
It was broadcast during the Ramadan season back in 2001.
The series begins with the movement of a family to a new neighborhood. That family’s boy, who is a journalist, falls in love with a girl named Sayeh.
Speaking in an interview published on Wednesday, Hamidi stressed the importance of television dramas and how they can save the life of audience, recalling a memory in the regard.
Hamidi noted that she played the role of a mother whose son wanted to marry a widowed woman in the series ‘A Guest from Heaven’, adding that mother initially rejected her son’s choice, but eventually gave her blessing to that union.
The actress added that she was on the Persian Gulf island of Kish when a spectator told her that she saved his life with her series ‘A Guest from Heaven’ as he wanted to marry a widow, but his mother was against that marriage until she watched that series.
According to Hamidi, the spectator further said he managed to marry the woman he wanted, only a week after the end of Ramadan as his mother tied her approval to the stance of the character Hamidi played in the series towards the marriage with Sayeh.
The actress reiterated that the series was influential and made a change, calling for more works that help people improve.
