George Gerster, a Swiss journalist and a pioneer aerial photographer, has taken some photos of Iran with an aerial view in the 1970s and early 1980s.
He was among the first photographers who could catch a bird’s eye view of Iran decades ago with some of his works was exhibited at international venues.
In 2016, his photo collection on Iran was exhibited in the Iranian capital city of Tehran. The exhibition titled "Iran through the eyes of Homa" that pays tribute to Homa, a mythical bird in Persian literature, celebrated for his sharp-sightedness.
