Iran to produce film on Hazrat Khadijah (SA)

Iran is set to produce a film on Hazrat Khadijah (SA), the wife of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Hojjat-ul-Islam Hojjat Maleki, the head of Ayin Manaviyat art and culture institution, announced that the best cast and crew in Iranian cinema will be selected to make a biographical film on Hazrat Khadijah (SA).

He noted that Hazrat Khadijah-ul-Kubra (SA) lived with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for more than 25 years and gave support to the Prophet.

“Her role in the survival of Islam is undeniable,” Maleki noted, adding that the screenplay of the film is being written. He expected that the pre-production stage of such a rich film will be lengthy.

Maleki also stressed the importance of presenting the biographies of scholars and figures in Islamic history to audiences, especially the youth.

This comes as Iran’s director Majid Majidi has made a few years ago a blockbuster religious biopic on the Prophet titled ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’.

The film portrays the life of Islam’s Holy Prophet (PBUH) and narrates his early years in Mecca. This is the first part of a trilogy which seems to cover the entire life of the Prophet (PBUH).
