Iran ‘The Doll’ to vie at US Full Frame

The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in the US has been set to screen Iranian short documentary ‘The Doll’.

Directed and produced by Elaheh Esmaeeli, the 33-minute doc will be among the competition titles at the 24th edition of the US event.

‘The doll’ shows how the whole family members of a young girl can have parts in her future and fate. She is only 14 when the family is making decision about marrying her off.

The film has already toured various global events, including the Atlanta Film Festival in the US, the International Film Festival of Huesca in Spain, and the kortfilmfestivalen in Norway.

The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival is an annual event that is held each spring in North Carolina to take in international filmmakers and film enthusiasts.

The 2021 edition of the event, aiming to screen contemporary films by famed and emerging directors, will showcase 100 films on June 2-6.
